Arrival to the competition will be open from 9.00 am.
Registration of participants will take place from 9.00 to 10.00.
Opening of the competition after 10.00.
Competition from 10.30 to 18.00.
We will be able to offer a more precise competition plan after registration of participants.

We invite you to apply for participation in the Preiļi Robotics Championship, which will take place on January 28, 2023 at Jāņa Eglīša Preiļi State Gymnasium, Kooperatīvā iela 6, Preiļi.

The purpose of the event is to promote the interest of children and young people in engineering and robotics, which is one of the fastest growing industries in the world.
Championship disciplines:

• Linefollower goal of the robot is to finish the track, which is a black line on a white surface, with the most precision and the least amount of time.
• Mini Sumo position themselves as the smallest, but not the weakest sumo robots.
• Lego Sumo can impress with their universal applications.
• iRobot Sumo vacuuming robots, which are creatively changed in order to fight on the ring.
• Folkrace robots compete in an obstacle track, which only the nimblest and the quickest robots can complete.
• In a drone race the pilot must be so skillful to run the obstacle course with a flying robot-drone.
• Freestyle category everyone has a chance to demonstrate their robotics projects to a wider audience.
• Antweight robot competition, the robots are controlled by a remote control.

Participation in this event is free of charge and there are no limits to the number of registered robots, team size or age of the participant. In some disciplines, participants are divided into age and professional groups.

Robots can be registered until the 24th January 23:59. We strongly encourage that you register in time, so we can plan the competition timetable precisely.

Especially focus on the information about catering!
Photographing and filming will happen at the event. Participation in the event means the participants are giving the consent of photographing and filming.

For the comfort of the participants we strongly encourage bringing shoes to change.

Participants will have access to classrooms, where they will be able to set up their robots for the competition. If necessary, participants should bring power extension cords-distributors, because there may be a lack of space in the classrooms for electrical sockets. We will not be able to provide for every participant iwt power extension cords-distributors

Minisumo and iRobot sumo participants must have gloves and at the time, when the robot is not on the ring, use a protector on the blades, in order to prevent others from injuries.

Catering company in Jāņa Eglīša Preiļi State gymnasium offer lunch for 3.70 EUR (baked or mashed potatoes, pork cutlet or chicken ham, salad, cherry compote, bun). Requisites for the invoice and/or the number of people who will need lunch need to be sent to e-mail: gimnazijasednica@gmail.com until 19th January. Catering firm will prepare and send an invoice, which must be paid until 23th January. Ff the invoice is not needed, then it is possible to pay with money at the cafeteria (only cash will be accepted!), but either way the number of people eating must be sent to the catering firm! ! The information is needed, so the chefs can predict the number of people.
